National Indigenous Peoples Day
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day, part of National Indigenous Peoples Month. Indigenous Peoples Day is a time for each of us to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, culture, resilience and outstanding contributions of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, but specifically the syilx / Okanagan people.

We encourage you all to take time to learn something new about the sylix / Okanagan people. Attend a community event, support local syilx / Okanagan owned businesses, take a walk on the tmxʷulaxʷ (land) to learn more about the native plants and animals and most importantly to give thanks for all the tmxʷulaxʷ (land) provides.

Support Indigenous Businesses
Shop locally and support the over 400 businesses on Westbank First Nation (WFN) lands. If you would like to give WFN's retail guides to customers, please email communications@wfn.ca

Encourage your staff and customers to dine at indigenous food service providers such as Kekuli CafeLittle Miss ChiefIndigenous World Winery and 19 Okanagan Grill & Bar.
