Events Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Communications Advisor, External Relations, the Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of key College ceremonies and high-profile events and for coordination of the annual calendar of College events across all campuses.

The Events Coordinator leads the planning and delivery of Convocation and Commencement ceremonies through the year, working with the Executive team, Leadership Council, Registrar’s Office, Deans, faculty and instructional staff, and service departments to ensure broad student and employee participation. Additionally, the Events Coordinator leads and/or supports events such as Career Fair(s), ministerial announcements, awards ceremonies, community engagement and conferences.

The Events Coordinator works collaboratively with teams across the College, including but not limited to Ancillary Business Services, Continuing Studies, Portfolio Deans, Okanagan College Foundation, Campus Managers, Recruiters, Student Services, People Services, College Relations, and the President’s Office/Executive Team and can adapt to tight timelines and revised directions as required. 

While not directly responsible for recruitment events such as open houses or recruitment fairs, the Events Coordinator works with Recruiters to schedule and promote opportunities for future students. Similarly, the Events Coordinator is a member of the College Relations (CR) team, and as such works with CR colleagues on promotions, marketing, and social media campaigns.

Assessment Administrator

The Assessment Administrator performs a wide variety of administrative functions related to the production of the annual assessment roll.

The Administrative Services Team delivers assessment administrative services and provides front-line customer service across the province to BCA's customers. Some of your tasks include: Title Changes, Mailing Address Changes, Subdivisions, Mail-outs, Appeal Administration, and Farm administration.

We are looking for someone who is a team player who can provide customer service with kindness, tact and diplomacy.  You are organized, detail-oriented and efficient, you are someone who can manage multiple work assignments with professionalism and confidence.  You are a strong MS Office user and are comfortable working in and using new databases.
