Philanthropy Officer

Reporting to the VP, Marketing & Philanthropy, the Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in establishing and developing long term philanthropic relationships with prospects, donors and sponsors through focusing on the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of major gift prospects with the capacity and interest in providing financial support to the YMCA’s programs and services. The Philanthropy Officer will have a high-level of comfort and expertise in soliciting individual and corporate donations in face-to-face meetings, and by telephone and email correspondence.

Donations & Database Coordinator

Under the general supervision of the Executive Assistant, Advancement & Okanagan College Foundation, the Donations & Database Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic data support to the fundraising team and for managing and processing all donations to Okanagan College and the Okanagan College Foundation.

The Donations & Database Coordinator prepares data queries and produces reports, spreadsheets, briefing notes and other related documents for stakeholders (internal and external). Conducts queries, generates reports, prepares mass mailings and assists with electronic communications. Leads the processing of all donations including receiving and tracking donations, providing acknowledgements and receipts, and prepares bank deposits and reconciliations. Prepares gift agreements and supports reporting requirements. Responds to general inquiries, provides customer service for internal and external customers, and performs other related duties as required.

Administrative Coordinator, Development & Alumni Engagement

This position provides administrative support to the Okanagan Development & Alumni Engagement (DAE) team, including the Executive Director, Director and Director of Advancement. This position maintains the confidential calendar of the Executive Director. This position will generate financial and human resource documentation for processing, as well as IT and Facilities work requests. Supports the hiring processes, from recruitment and onboarding through termination. Coordinates and maintains the DAE administration/office records. This position also provides administrative and organizational support for the Okanagan Development & Alumni Engagement Office. This position is often the first contact for faculty, staff, students, donors and alumni and is responsible for responding to enquiries from senior management, vendors and the general public. This position will be attending meetings, workshops and training sessions as needed. This position exercises initiative and judgment to assess and respond to issues and to resolve administrative problems.

Program Facilitator - Bridgeway

The Bridge Youth & Family Services requires a Program Facilitator to ensure the physical. emotional, social needs of adult participants at the Bridgeway Treatment Facility. Program Facilitator(s) provide assessment, treatment planning and implementation for participants of the program. Delivers psycho-educational workshops and teaches mindfulness based on relapse prevention and coping strategies. Utilizes community resources to facilitate achievement of treatment goals and transition planning. The position aids the participant in identifying and understanding personal issues and in establishing and achieving specific, attainable goals necessary to recovery.
