Understanding Protocols
An evacuation order means you are required to leave your home immediately. By failing to do so, it puts emergency personnel at risk in order to save lives and the community at further risk by pulling resources away from where they are needed.
An evacuation alert means you . You should be ready to evacuate your home at a moment’s notice. Make sure you pack up any . You can pre-register with emergency support services here to be prepared.

Evacuations can be stressful. However, if you take the time now to prepare you can save time and make real situations less stressful.
If you have a BC Services Card and would like to register in preparation for a possible future evacuation, you can now self-register.
